Wagma Mommandi, M.Ed

Wagma Mommandi is a doctoral student in the School of Education at the University of Colorado Boulder. Wagma holds an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from American University and a B.A. in Biology from Colorado College. Prior to graduate school, Wagma was a high school science teacher in the District of Columbia Public Schools.

Dr. Kevin Welner

Kevin Welner is a professor of education policy at the University of Colorado Boulder School of Education and (by courtesy) at the School of Law. He’s also the director of the National Education Policy Center, housed at CU Boulder, which works to build bridges between the research world and the broader public. And Professor Welner is a Senior Research Fellow at the Learning Policy Institute and an American Education Research Association (AERA) Fellow. His most recent book is co-authored with Wagma Mommandi, titled, School’s Choice: How Charter Schools Control Access and Shape their Enrollment.
