Ballot Issues 2026
Initiative 195, Graduated Income Tax -
A4PEP is strongly supporting this initiative. We urge our friends to participate in the Protect Colorado's Future campaign to get this initiative on the ballot for November 2026. We believe that Colorado deserves a fair tax system.

When approved, the Graduated Income Tax (GIT) will:
-
Let 97% of taxpayers have the same or a lower income tax rate.
-
Require the top 3% of taxpayers making $500,000+ pay a little more, especially those making over $1 million.
-
Raise at least $2 billion every year for schools, healthcare & child care.
HELP US "GIT" IT TO THE BALLOT by signing up here to:
-
Volunteer to collect signatures, talk to neighbors, and spread the word.
-
Donate to fund voter outreach and ballot qualification. Give what you can.
-
Show up where you can.
Let’s protect Colorado’s future — because every Coloradan deserves to thrive.
Initiative 22, School Choice -
We at A4PEP opposed this initiative (proposed for 2026), but it has expired.
Read this FACT SHEET with FAQs for details about Initiative 22 and vouchers.
Ballot Issues 2025
Propositions LL & MM, Healthy School Meals for All Program -
We at A4PEP supported both of these propositions that were on the ballot in the November 2025 election - both of which passed:

Proposition LL, Retain and Spend State Revenue Exceeding the Estimate for Proposition FF – This will allow the state to keep $12.4 million in tax revenue which has already been collected for the Healthy School Meals for All Program but has exceeded the estimate presented to voters in Prop. FF in 2022 – rather than refunding it to taxpayers.
Proposition MM, Tax Deductions and Revenue for School Meals Measure – This would lower the state tax deduction limits for taxpayers earning $300,000 or more; it is expected to generate $95 million annually for the Heathy School Meals for All Program, and any revenue above the costs for fully implementing the HSMA program will go towards supporting SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, commonly known as "food stamps").
Read the fact sheet about SB25B-003, which explains the amendment to Proposition MM that added payments for SNAP.
